Drops per millilitre is a convention, not a constant. It depends on the oil's viscosity, on the dropper and on temperature — which is why the field can be changed. The tool converts; it does not decide which percentage is appropriate.

What it computes

- the corresponding volume of essential oil, in millilitres
- the same figures at the drops-per-millilitre rate you set, because a drop is not a unit: its volume depends on the dropper and on the oil
What it does not do
It proposes no percentage. A dilution rate is a choice that depends on the preparation, the oil and the person making it — the tool does not make that choice, and does not name who a preparation is for.
